The 30-year-old actor returned to his musical roots by performing at New York City's Irving Plaza Thursday night.
He supported FreeSol, whose album is out on his Tennman Records label, before launching into his own set which included hits such as What Goes Around, Dead and Gone, and Cry Me a River, which he performed solo with a guitar.
'For the record, I'm not trying to be a serious actor,' the Friends With Benefits star joked at one point in the night, People magazine reported.
Doors to the 1,200-person venue opened at about 9.15 pm, and the hour-long show got underway shortly after 11pm, but after playing a shortened version of Like I Love You, from his first solo album, the 30-year-old joked, 'I'm getting too old for this.'
