Justin Timberlake celebrated The 20/20 Experience on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" for a full week, and if Fallon has his way, the host will make a cameo next level for the album's sequel.
"This is called The Lasik's Experience. 20/20 is a thing of the past," he joked to MTV News at the Time 100 Gala on Tuesday night. "Now you've got to get your eyes sharpened, and Lasik is the future."
Timberlake's wedding guests got an up-close preview of what a collaboration between Timberlake and Fallon may look like. Timberlake recently revealed in Time magazine that the comedian interrupted his speech during his splashy Italian nuptials to Jessica Biel last year — a disruption led to a back-and-forth between the two mid-speech.
"You can't invite a comedian to your wedding and expect him not talk or say anything funny," Fallon said. "I didn't know I was going to do it. I thought I was going to get thrown out and then he's quick though. He's fast, so he's a good guy to play with. He's a great, funny guy."
Next up, Fallon will begin prepping for his takeover of "The Tonight Show." It's been confirmed that the "Late Night" host will replace Jay Leno on the legendary talk show in 2014.
While he's not completely certain of all his plans for his version of the show, a couple things are certain: He will move the program from sunny Los Angeles to the concrete jungle that is New York City and his "Late Night" house band The Roots will join him.
"I'm very, very excited. I don't know what to do yet. We have a couple months to figure it out — eight months or something like that. I think what we're doing now is a pretty good show. I don't know if I'm going to change much," he explained. "So I think it's up to Jay [Leno] and NBC. It feels like I got called up from the minors to the majors, and I'm ready to swing for the fences."
