Hooky UK rockers Kaiser Chiefs let each fan choose tracks, artwork, and even earn money by on-selling their new album.
With the new Kaiser Chiefs album ' The Future Is Medieval ' the fan gets to be the producer.
They recorded twenty songs, and you can pick ten for your own version of the album, in it's own order, as well as assembling your specific version of the artwork.
Fans can even present their personalised version of The Future Is Medieval online for others to buy, and they get a cut of the purchases.
You can check out the tunes and make your own version, or buy someone else's curated version, at KaiserChiefs.com
UK DJ Chris Moyles, website Downed In Sound, The Guardian and more have already put their own versions up on the site.
The band explain their reasons behind the approach on their site, saying, 'We wanted to do something different. Something that made everything exciting and new again. We wanted to do something that involved our fans.
't seemed strange that nobody had ever done a bespoke album properly and then one thing sort of led to another. We kept thinking somebody would tell us it was a bad idea but everybody just kept saying yes. Honestly. you try and stick it to the man but the man quite likes it.'
And there's a little promo video for the project below.
