Q and Mean Fiddler are delighted to announce the stellar line up for this year's series of shows at London's HMV Forum Kentish Town to launch the 2011 Q Awards.
Among the highlights of this week-long run of exclusive shows are a headline set from man-of-the-moment Ed Sheeran, rapidly establishing himself as one of the most exciting new voices in British music, on Saturday, 22 October, and a rare intimate show on Friday, 21 October from uproarious Brit rockers the Kaiser Chiefs.
Golden Globe and Grammy nominee Jamie Cullum will kick the gigs off on Tuesday, 18 October, while the second night on Wednesday, 19 October will see double-platinum selling pop starlet Pixie Lott unveiling tracks from her forthcoming second album for the first time.
Details of the very special headlining guests for the Thursday, 20 October show will be announced shortly.
Each night will also feature a full supporting cast featuring some of the best new acts of the year.
Q Editor-In-Chief Paul Rees says of the shows: "This will be the fourth year we have hosted our special Q Awards gigs at the Forum and I'm delighted that once again they highlight both the breadth of great music that Q supports and showcase some of the best emerging talent of the moment. Ed Sheeran, for instance, is an artist Q has backed from day one and I'm sure the Q show will mark another significant step up on his meteoric rise."
The Q Awards will take place on the Monday, 24 October in Central London and will once again celebrate the very finest new music of the past 12 months and those iconic artists who have done most to shape the Q musical landscape.
