Kanye West felt blindsided by Kylie Jenner's modelling gig with his rival brand Puma because he wasn't told about it until the shoot was underway.
The rapper and Adidas designer blasted rumours his wife Kim Kardashian's half-sister would be fronting campaigns for Puma back in February (16), writing on Twitter, "1000 per cent there will never be a Kylie Puma anything" because the deal would "divide the family" but it turned out Kylie's shoots with Puma were already underway and her mum and manager Kris Jenner had failed to let Kanye know.
Kim revealed that Kanye was left fuming by the revelation on Sunday night's (07Aug16) episode of U.S reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians (KUWTK), saying, "Kanye had Kylie walk in his first two shows, he really believed in her as part of his brand.
"I get my mom's (Kris') job is to get us deals... but everything has to be really carefully played out and I feel like this was a conflict of interest... I just wish my mom spoke about it with us. We should all be able to communicate so we don't step on anyone's toes."
Kris defended the deal as a good business move and Kim hit back saying it shouldn't be a simple professional decision when family are involved, adding, "She (Kylie) was the model that he wanted ... I just would have liked the heads up ... He had no idea until the shoot was already happening."
Her sister Khloe also blamed Kris for failing to run it by Kim and Kanye first and Kris later apologised for her poor communication.
Kanye likened his upset about Kylie's modelling gig to the response the Kardashians would have if he got his own reality series to compete against KUWTK off the back of appearing on the show. He added, "I, like, did it and didn't tell none of y'all, and brought all my cool friends."
Once Kylie's Puma gig was confirmed in February (16), Kanye later told TMZ.com he was "mad" for a little bit but was now "really happy for her".
