The 43-year-old divorcee says that as a child she thought she would have a husband and 'three or four kids' by now.
Instead the childless star's 29-month marriage to Hollywood studio executive Alex Young ended in February last year.
'I feel like a loser,' the Private Practice actress told US magazine, More.
'I would definitely love to be a parent. But I definitely don't think I want to do it on my own.
'Things are just going to go the way they go.'
Asked by More if she is having the life she imagined she would have when she a child, Walsh said, 'No. I thought I'd be married and have three or four kids.
'I always knew I wanted to be an actress, but I think I always wanted a quote-unquote 'normal' life because I had a very untraditional upbringing.'
