Katie Price chased man behind Andre's back

Katie Price was reportedly chasing her new lover while she was still with husband Peter Andre.

The glamour model bombarded cage fighter Alex Reid with raunchy text messages for around a year after getting his number from her personal trainer Sol Gilbert.

Although the pair didn't begin their fling until last week – over two months since her split from Peter – the mother-of-three became smitten with Alex after seeing a picture of him.

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "She got his number from Sol Gilbert, her martial arts trainer, when she saw a picture of him about a year ago. She was even sending texts while she was in Los Angeles with Peter and the children. But it was only last weekend they actually got together.

"Katie always wants the best and when she homed in on her man nothing was going to stop her."

Alex has reportedly moved into Katie's £2.5 million Surrey mansion after leaving his mother's home.

Katie – who has denied claims she was in contact with Alex while she was still with Peter – is said to be so smitten with Alex she wants to marry him.

The 31-year-old beauty – also known as Jordan - reportedly told Alex she wants to get engaged as soon as her divorce from Peter is finalised.

Friends of the sexy star are stunned by her shock proposal, which came after Alex spoke to his former girlfriend Marie Thornton in a heated phone call.

A source said: "Marie was really shouting at Alex. She was telling him they'd been together for 15 years and this is how he is treating her.

"Katie came into the room and wasn't impressed, so when Marie hung up she laid into him as well. But she also told him she could see them getting engaged after the divorce. Alex certainly didn't say no, put it that way. He is really into her."
