Katie Price to provide alibi for pop star ex-boyfriend

Katie Price's ex-boyfriend Dane Bowers claims he was with her in the early hours of yesterday (26.05.09).

The former Another Level singer, who dated the glamour model known as Jordan, between 1998 and 2000, told police he had been with her to prove he wasn't driving after they were called to investigate a 4am crash outside Katie's mansion in Surrey, Southern England.

Married Dane, 29, and a pal were arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car belonging to the friend, named only as Adam, smashed into a hedge.

Both men denied they were at the wheel at the time, claiming the car had been stolen, although the keys were allegedly found in Dane's pocket.

Police will now speak to Katie - who split from her husband Peter Andre two weeks ago - to see if she will verify Dane's claims.

A police source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "They were taken to a station to work out who was driving - and that is when Mr. Bowers said Katie could give him an alibi.

"Exactly what he was doing with her is not part of the investigation. She is just needed to verify he was where he was when he said."

Dane and Katie, 31, had a two-year relationship and famously starred in a homemade sex tape, which featured the pair engaged in several explicit acts.

According to Katie, they split because she caught him kissing another woman while she was pregnant with his child, although she later had a termination.

Dane is married to his agent Chrissy Johnston. He has previously been banned from driving after being caught behind the wheel while drunk.

Meanwhile, a former Big Brother contestant accused Katie of have a nine-month cyber affair with him while married to Peter.

Billi Bhatti says he conducted an online, sexual relationship with the star between August 2007 and May 2008, shortly after he left the UK version of the reality show.

Katie is said to have sent Billi a number of racy pictures as well as an explicit video.

Billi said: "She was pretty dirty. She sent me a load of images exposing herself, as well as a video."

Katie and Peter - who raise three children together - are expected to start divorce proceedings this week.
