It's no matter that the Who's Keith Moon has been dead for 33 years, the organizers of this year's Summer Olympics in London have invited him to play at the event.
According to the band's manager, Bill Curbishley, Moon was issued an invitation to perform during the Symphony of Rock at August 12th's Closing Ceremonies. Curbishley told the London Sunday Times that he did get back to the Olympic people.
I emailed back saying Keith now resides in Golders Green crematorium, having lived up to the Who's anthemic line 'I hope I die before I get old'.
If they have a round table, some glasses and candles, we might contact him.
Moon passed away on September 7, 1978 at the age of 32 after taking an overdose of the sedative Clomethiazole which had been prescribed to help him with alcohol withdrawal.
