Keith Richards ‘scares suitors with knife trick’

Keith Richards performs knife tricks to warn men off hurting his daughters.

The Rolling Stones rocker has Theodora, 26, and 25-year-old Alexandra with his wife Patti Hansen. He is determined to look after them even though they are now adults so ensures their boyfriends know to treat them properly.

"Sometimes he takes boyfriends to the other end of the house to show them some tricks with a knife," Alexandra is quoted as saying.

"It's to intimidate them a little, to warn them they shouldn't make me or my sister suffer. But then he's very pleasant."

Alexandra is a DJ and she is dating Nick Cohen, who is also in the music industry. Theodora is a model who also studies art.

Keith's love of knives is legendary. He's been open about enjoying playing with the weapons in the past, and in 2008 he hit the headlines after admitting he sometimes carried one around with him.

"The actual cut doesn't hurt. All the blood comes down, and then you kick the f**ker in the balls. It's a very efficient way of dealing with problems. I learned it in Jamaica. I've always carried one," he said at the time.

In 1975, Keith was taken into police custody when he was found roaming around with a blade in Arkansas. No charges stemmed from the event.
