Singer Kelly Clarkson's second pregnancy is leaving her so dehydrated she has to have regular IV drips.
The American Idol winner is pregnant with her second child, and admits she is having a pretty tough time.
Kelly also struggled when she was expecting her first child, daughter River Rose, but being aware of the symptoms isn't making her latest pregnancy any easier.
"I'm familiar with all-day sickness," she told CBS This Morning on Wednesday (18Nov15). "I have to get IVs and fluids because I get so dehydrated. It's really bad."
The 33-year-old revealed she was expecting again in August, while on stage performing her track Piece By Piece. The song is about the lack of a relationship she had with her own father, and feeling highly hormonal due to her condition, she couldn't finish it live.
"I couldn't get through it and I was crying so hard," she continued. "I thought, 'These people are going to think I'm on drugs. I'm about to lose it like a pregnant person. I gotta explain'. And then it just came out."
Kelly apologised to Brandon Blackstock, her husband of two years immediately after making the announcement, and during her TV chat, the star revealed her man is an amazing father to their little girl.
"(He is) the complete opposite of how my father was," she said. "He was present. He wins for being around."
However, Kelly has been able to learn from having an absent father, adding that it helped her prepare for fame.
"Once your dad basically is like, 'You're unwanted', you can say anything and it's not going to bother me," she said before addressing the negative comments she has received about her weight issues. "I think it's just a cheap shot, sitting behind a computer. If somebody were to say, 'Oh, you shouldn't be eating that', I'm going to eat it five times right in front of your face."
