Kelly Rowland doesn't find it a chore to reunite with her Destiny's Child bandmates.
The trio, made up of Kelly, Beyoncé Knowles and Michelle Williams, all got together to lay down vocals for Michelle's new song Say Yes, the first single from her upcoming album Journey to Freedom.
Kelly, 33, jumped at the chance to re-join the girls in the studio. They were last seen performing together at the 2013 Super Bowl and are still sounding as fresh as ever boasts Kelly.
"It was a lot of fun. The blessing about Destiny's Child is that we still love working together, it's not hard, it's not a task. And when we do we still sound damn good together!" Kelly told graziadaily.co.uk.
"I'm so excited about Say Yes for Michelle and it just feels so good, it's happy. You think about songs like Happy by Pharrell, I think that's what people really need now."
Aside from feeling thrilled for Michelle, Kelly has also just released a new track herself.
She's joined forces with a whole host of other stars, including Janelle Monáe and Rita Ora, to release a song celebrating the World Cup which kicks off tonight.
The songs from Pepsi Max's album Beats of the Beautiful Game each also have a short film to accompany them, shot by directors such as Idris Elba and Diego Luna.
"I want it to feel really anthemic. [I] went back to my first experience at a soccer game and the feeling I had when somebody scored a goal and it was the loudest moment I've ever experienced in my life," she explained.
Kelly got to work with Spike Lee to create the video for The Game, whose musical input was just as welcome as his visual.
"After I finished recording the song I actually had to go back into the studio and add different things. He had this whole idea to do these really cool drums. It matched the same energy I remember having when I went to a soccer game," she recalled.
