Kenny Loggins will showcase his new band Blue Sky Riders at SXSW in March.
Blue Sky Riders is somewhat of a country supergroup. It also features Georgia Middleman and Gary Burr.
Loggins had a string of hits in the 80s include 'Danger Zone' from Top Gun and the title song to 'Footloose' and prior to that with Jim Messina as Loggins and Messina delivered 'Your Mama Can't Dance' and 'Danny's Song'.
Burr was once a member of Pure Prairie League, taking over from Vince Gill when he left the band. He has written songs for Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Reba McEntire.
Middleman wrote the song 'I'm In', covered by Keith Urban.
Blue Sky Riders will release their debut album 'Finally Home' at the end of January.
SXSW Music is on from March 12-17 in Austin, Texas.
