Kerry loves Eminem

Kerry Washington says she is a "huge Eminem fan."

The actress is hosting Saturday Night Live on October 19, and the musical guest will be Eminem.

Kerry is over the moon about the hosting gig, and meeting the rapper is clearly going to be a high point.

"I'm so excited – it's true! I'm a huge Eminem fan," Kerry told Access Hollywood. "So, that's going to be big for me personally."

The Emmy-nominated actress is known for playing Olivia Pope on hit TV show Scandal. But she is greatly looking forward to indulging in her creative side by hosting SNL.

"It's fun that I get to be smart Kerry here and silly Kerry there," she said. "I feel like I'm going to comedy camp for a week. So I won't be able to tell you anything until I get there."

While Kerry doesn't know what other sketches will air on Saturday night, she is thrilled to do a live show. And she feels lucky to be able to prove her comedy chops.

"I'm really, really excited! I'm very excited. I feel like I'm getting to wear a lot of my different hats right now."

Kerry's co-stars on Scandal are very supportive of her debut hosting duties, including on-screen love interest Tony Goldwyn.

"You know, she plays a more serious character on TV, but Kerry is the first one on our show to be creating mayhem," Tony said. "So, she's gonna be great."
