Ke$ha has admitted herself into rehab to treat an eating disorder.
The singer started her treatment on Friday morning, at Timberline Knolls near Chicago where Demi Lovato also worked on her issues.
According to the pop star, she wants to focus on being healthy again.
"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice. I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder ... to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am," Ke$ha said in a statement to TMZ.
The 26-year-old has previously admitted to facing criticism over her looks, and says it's something she had to overcome. According to Ke$ha, she refused to allow people to destroy her dreams of being a performer and credits her mother with giving her the courage to fight despite constant negativity.
"I'm a white girl from Nashville who—kind of—raps," she told Self magazine in 2012. "It's weird, but I've always believed I was put here to do what I'm doing. I've had to endure so many people telling me, 'No, you can't do that, 'No, you're not pretty enough,' 'No, you're not skinny enough,' and I just had to be like, 'You're not stopping me. Get out of my way.' Some of that comes from my mom, but I also think I was born with balls."
