Ke$ha clears up image myths

Ke$ha insists she's just a "kissing sl*t".

The star is known for her outrageous outfits and likes to shock people by speaking openly about intimate subjects and distributing condoms with her face on at concerts.

Despite what people may think of her, the 26-year-old insists she's not as raunchy as her image.

"Yeah. I think every girl should invest in a condom with her face on it - it's super awkward and hilarious," Ke$ha joked to Self magazine.

"But people think because I hand out condoms, I must be some sort of [sl*t]. That's not the case. I'm a little bit of a kissing sl*t, but usually I just make out and then run away."

The singer often writes about partying, with her hit Tik Tok famously including the lyrics "before I leave, brush my teeth, with a bottle of Jack".

However, her lifestyle isn't quite that rock 'n' roll.

"People think I sit around and drink whiskey all day, but I couldn't keep up on a three-month tour if I were getting hammered every night," she explained.

"My show is very energetic - I dance and sing at the same time and run around. Training for a tour is like training for a marathon. When I'm eating healthy and working out, it helps me stay sane and exude confidence."

The star certainly looks great on the cover of the magazine, wearing a lime green hoodie and tiny black hotpants as she leaps into the air.

Although she keeps track of her weight, Ke$ha also allows herself some sweet treats.

"Eighty percent of the time I watch my portions and eat veggies and lean protein. It's excruciatingly boring, but it makes my body happy. The other 20 per cent of the time, I do whatever I want. It's OK to sometimes eat a... ton of chocolate!" she revealed.
