Kevin Bacon believes Nashville, Tennessee is a "very intimidating place".
The 54-year-old actor formed band The Bacon Brothers with his brother Michael Bacon in 1995.
The folk-country duo have been performing across America now for over 15 years.
On Wednesday The Bacon Brothers will present at the CMT Music Awards, a ceremony that takes places in Nashville. The event includes performances by Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood.
Kevin reveals the musical city often makes him nervous.
"Nashville is a very intimidating place to play because you have the finest musicians and finest songwriters there all the time," Kevin explained to People magazine.
Despite the butterflies in his stomach, Kevin is looking forward to being in Nashville.
He is excited about presenting at the CMT Music Awards.
"It's gonna be fun," he gushed.
Kevin loves being in a band and touring around the country.
The star relishes all of the one-of-a-kind experiences he has while on the road.
"We get to spend time in unusual places and do unusual things together," Kevin said. "We were down in Texas the other day – sitting playing music, singing songs watching the river go by in a part of Texas where probably we never would go and definitely wouldn't go together."
Kevin has been married to actress Kyra Sedgwick since 1988 and the couple share two children together.
