Kevin Federline thinks "everything works" in his co-parenting relationship with ex-wife Britney Spears.
The former dancer was married to the Toxic singer for two years from 2004 until 2006. They have two children together, sons Sean, nine, and Jayden, eight, and while things were awkward at first, the exes are now in a good place.
"Time. Time heals everything," he told Canada's eTalk when asked for the secret to their happy co-parenting. "The family is great. It's been a long, long journey, but I think where both of us are now, we both have somebody else we're happy [with]. Everything just works."
While Kevin is now married to second wife Victoria Prince, with whom he has a daughter, Jordan Kay, Britney is currently loved up with filmmaker and philanthropist Charlie Ebersol.
Kevin loves being a father, and added to the outlet how his children have helped change his perspective on many things.
"Now you get older, you start looking at life a different way. Kids will make you do that. Age makes you do that on its own," the 37-year-old added. "I enjoy my life now. I live in the moment with everything I do."
Britney is also making the most of the opportunities that continue to come her way. The 33-year-old juggles motherhood with her popular Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
"Co-parenting is going great, I can't complain," Kevin previously told Access Hollywood. "The schedule has been worked out over time. We talk when we need to. It's always about the boys, mostly school stuff and making sure we stay on top of that. It's going great."
