The Killers have been talking about recording a Christmas single with one of their heroes, the mighty Elton John.
The band revealed that the decision to co-write 'Joseph, Better You Than Me' with the legendary British singer arose after a series of meetings in their hometown.
Lead singer Brandon Flowers told NME: " He's been doing this show called the Red Piano in Las Vegas for a while, and so every now and then we'll go see the show and we'll go have dinner.
He continued: "We're big admirers of him and his voice and his gift for writing amazing songs so it's been cool to be around him. We were writing this Christmas song and we asked him if he wanted to chip in.
"He wrote the chorus, so it's a collaboration in every sense."
Pet Shop Boy Neil Tennant also contributed lyrics and vocals to the track, which is The Killers' third festive effort.
A release date for the single is still to be set.
