Writing in her column for British OK! magazine this week, the 29-year-old said: 'I'm certain it's just a coincidence.
'That block colour look is a real fashion trend.'
She added: 'Nicole wouldn't want to get a dig in about Cheryl, she's a really nice girl and she's always been really friendly towards her so I don't think it's anything to do with that.'
Geordie Cole was recently axed from the judging panel on the US X Factor and replaced by Right There hitmaker Nicole.
