King Charles will release his second single 'LoveBlood' on 20th February 2012, through Island Records, taken from his as yet untitled debut album due for release in Spring 2012.
King Charles released his first single 'Bam Bam' in November 2011, alongside a sold out UK tour and duly shook up the bland outlook for 2012 with his glam folk sound and genuinely eccentric outlook, painting his wild pictures of revolution and romance with the energy of a true British pop star and the lyrical ingenuity of a classic poet.
A year ago King Charles almost lost his life in an accident and was musically revived when he went on tour with Mumford & Sons in America. Now within a few months of his first release he has been nominated for the MTV Band New for 2012 List, played to a sold out audience at London's Scala and across the UK, and reignited the musical imagination of many being compared to Mark Bolan and praised for his uniqueness "Charles is unlike anyone else." Sunday Times Culture, his unpredictability "King Charles is set to liven things up in 2012." (Observer) and Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens calling him a "pop wonder".
'LoveBlood' is the perfect song to manifest his philosophy. It is an upbeat three minute pop classic, which doffs its cap to the calypso rhythms of Vampire Weekend while remaining positively British with his natural majesty of musical talent.
With his debut album release in Spring 2012, the future for his majesty looks full of promise and no doubt one to watch in 2012.
