It goes without saying that there are a lot of people hurting from the shocking news of Kristen Stewart's indiscretion with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders — namely, the parties involved and those closest to them.
Another group that has been deeply affected is Stewart and Robert Pattinson's passionate and dedicated fanbase. Their reactions to the news include a range of emotions that are almost a step-by-step walk through the five stages of grief and contain messages of support, hope and a lot of disbelief.
"This is so sad to hear," fan Cynthia wrote in MTV's comments section. "I hope Robert can forgive her ... she is young and has a lot to learn. ... search your heart ... and good luck to the two of them! I am so glad she admitted she loves him!"
"Ugh, this has been so painful to witness," commenter Team Almeda wrote. "She really is so young and everyone makes mistakes but it must be exponentially worse when your mistakes are plastered all over the media for all to see. Hope she and Rob can work through this together because they really did seem pretty tight. Or else it's going to make promo for BD2 in November uber AWKWARD. Wish everyone involved the best."
The ladies who run one of our favorite Twilight-inspired Facebook groups, KStew's HBG, were especially saddened.
"We are shocked and heartbroken by the news, but have nothing but love and respect for Kristen for owning up to her mistake and apologizing," they wrote to MTV News in an email. "We stand behind Kristen and recognize that we all make mistakes at [age] 22. Most of us are lucky enough to not have pictures of those mistakes where millions can see. We have always been and will always be supporters of 'Twilight,' Kristen, Rob, HBG and the fandom family. No matter what."
In the wake of the news hitting the Internet, there was a deluge of supportive tweets directed at both Stewart and Pattinson, which became trending topics separately, along with #RobstenIsUnbroken.
"Though I am hurting, I'm calm. I love Rob," Pattinson fan @Ate_Ofie tweeted. "And I will always love Kristen. Until then, in spite of this devastation, I stand by #Robsten."
"I feel so bad for Kristen and Rob right now," @RobstenMonster wrote.
"Kristen, wherever you are, I love you, and I'll always be your fan. Rob, hold her tight, she needs your love. Robsten is Unbroken," Stewart/Pattinson fan @stewransom added. "Robsten is real. Robsten is the epitome of true love. Kristen and Rob will love each other forever and always. #WeLoveAndSupportRobsten."
