James McAvoy 'Atonement'/'Last King Of Scotland'/'Narnia' is now in pole position to act out the tortured singers life. 'The Notebook' and 'Half Nelson' star Ryan Gosling is also thought to be being considered.
Courtney Love, on American TV show 'The View', was overcome when they showed her a picture of McAvoy she said "Look at him. It's like Edward Norton and Kurt had a baby!", she said.
