The Australian singer admitted that after 20 years in the business, she often considers quitting, but can't bring herself to do it because she is 'addicted' to her work.
She told Contact Music: 'Do I think of retiring? Absolutely. I say that at the end of every tour. And then something happens a few months down the line and I start thinking of songs and getting that itch. What can I say? I'm addicted.
'When I was 20 there was no way I could see myself touring at 43. I have a terrible feeling I'll be saying the same in 20 years time.'
The star is due to embark on her 'Aphrodite - Les Folies' tour later this year and said no expense has been spared.
'There were a few coronaries over the cost but I've been touring for 20 years and I want this to be the most fantastic show ever,' she said. 'This is me completely pushing the boat out.'
