Kylie Minogue says it is an "absolute honour" to be inducted in to the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame.
The ceremony will be held on November 27 in Sydney. Kylie is thrilled to be recognised in her home country, but is a little nervous about receiving the award.
"That's an absolute honour," she said in an interview on the Kyle and Jackie O radio show. "I've just got to figure out what to say, what do I say?"
Children's entertainment group, The Wiggles are also being inducted. The 43-year-old is worried the group are going to make her look unprofessional in comparison.
"You know The Wiggles are going to have it all under control," she laughed. "They're going to say all the right things. But I'm super, super excited about that though."
Kylie also spoke about her friendship with superstar Sir Elton John. She claimed that the British showman and his extravagant outfits paved the way for eccentric pop stars like Lady Gaga.
"You've just got to look back at when he started and he was basically off his face, doing the best stuff on stage in those outfits, it makes Gaga look, I don't know what," she declared. "He's naughty, he's wicked, he calls a spade a spade and he is so talented."
The music sensation also spoke about her family.
Kylie explained that her younger sister Dannii has been misinterpreted in the past because of her striking features.
"I think she can weird people out sometimes because she has very intense eyes. And she's very direct and that's been interpreted in the past as being really icy," she explained.
