Lauryn Hill has announced a one-off UK show in Brixton in September. Tickets are on sale Friday 2 May, at 9am.
The singer, who first found fame as a member of Fugees before achieving solo success, last performed in Brixton in 1999. Her return on 20 September will be her only scheduled UK performance of the year.
Hill's former band Fugees released their first album, Blunted On Reality, in 1994, before achieving worldwide success in 1996 with The Score. The album, on which Hill both sang and rapped, included iconic tracks such as 'Ready Or Not' and 'Killing Me Softly'.
Following the band's split in 1997, Hill released her first solo album, The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill, to rave reviews.
After a period of self-imposed exile when the pressure of fame began to overwhelm her, Hill released her second album, MTV Unplugged No. 2.0, in 2002. The album was recorded live and took on a more folk-influenced tone than her previous offering.
