Lauryn Hill has slowly been popping up in more and more places over the last few months and she's making progress on a new album.
The album still doesn't have a title or a release date, but it's certainly going to be all about her.
"I have respect for what people do," Hill said in an interview with MTV. "I also like to hear the eclectics, I like to hear the mixture. There's a lot of different creative energies out there right now. I respect the different sounds that I'm hearing. It's been such a long time since I've gotten my voice and my ideas [out]. In terms of collaborations, that's not even something I've been thinking about per se. I'm happy that people are still making music. That we still have a platform with which to make music. It's gonna be interesting to see what the future holds."
She added that she thinks the current music industry has an "interesting energy" and that the fact that it's different is "not necessarily a bad thing".
This will be Hill's first album since her one and only solo studio album, 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' from 1998.
She was also a member of The Fugee's, who were catapulted to worldwide success with their 1996 album 'The Score'.
