Lee Ryan pushing his toddler into film roles

The singer-turned-actor - who has 16-month-old Rayn with fiancee Sammi Millar – is so fascinated by fatherhood he wants the tot to be the focus of a movie.

He said: "I love being a dad. I wake up in the morning and my little boy jumps on top of me and bites me and then he snots all over me and I pick his bogies out of his nose. It's brilliant. I want to put him in films."

The 'Guilty' hitmaker also revealed how he proposed to Sammi – who he met on the internet – when they were doing their grocery shopping at a local supermarket.

He said: "It's embarrassing. Well, it's not for me, but it's personal. It's funny though. Everyone will take the p**s!

"She had said to me, if we get engaged don't do it in a cheesy way, whatever you do. So I got down on one knee in Sainsbury's – in the cheese aisle. She laughed her head off."

The 26-year-old former Blue star – who recently made a transition into the film world with a part in the new gangster movie 'The Heavy' alongside Vinnie Jones - also admitted he was looking forward to his fans seeing him do something a little different.

He said: "I have a lead role too. It's coming out at the same time as my single, which is amazing. It's called 'The Heavy'. There's a scene where I'm strapped to a table and Vinnie tortures me. I can't wait for people to see a different part of me."
