Lenny Kravitz thinks it's funny to get "pummelled" by children on Guitar Hero.
The 51-year-old has been rocking out in front of crowds for decades thanks to hits including Fly Away and Are You Gonna Go My Way. While fans would think he'd be a pro at computer games like Guitar Hero, Lenny has revealed he actually sucks at it.
"My relationship with it is playing my godkids and nieces and nephews back when it came out and always getting my a*s kicked by little kids," he laughed to Billboard. "So it's pretty funny, getting pummelled by these little kids and they know you're a real guitar player. Your song's on there, and you get your butt kicked."
Lenny takes his lack of talent for the computer game in good grace and it hasn't stopped him from signing up to help promote the new Guitar Hero Live, which goes on sale on 20 October (15). The singer offered some words of advice to fellow musicians who might try their hand at the game.
"As a guitar player, when you first play it, it doesn't make any sense," he said. "The way you have to think in (the game) is not natural to me."
Lenny joins forces with actor James Franco for the trailers and the 37-year-old wasn't afraid to poke fun at the rock star about his recent wardrobe malfunction.
Lenny accidentally flashed his penis to a crowd of people at his concert in Stockholm in August (15), but two months on the musician is able to laugh about the incident.
"What else are you gonna do, y'know?" he queried. "If this happened 20 years ago, it would've been a completely different thing. But the fact that everyone's got cell phones now with cameras and videos and we have Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and everything, it got maximum effect."
