Leona Lewis isn't fazed by long-distance relationships.
The British singer – who has just returned from recording new material in the US – insists the time away from her boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa has improved their relationship.
She told Britain's More magazine: "I'm glad to be home, I missed Lou when I was in Los Angeles. Long-distance relationships don't faze me, though. We're stronger than ever as we've been together so long."
The 24-year-old beauty also revealed she and Lou keep their romance alive through text and email messages.
She explained: "With email and texting, you still keep in touch from a distance. Everybody knows I'm just a phone call away and that they can reach me if they need to. And when I do get time off, it tends to be in blocks.
"I'm very family and friends orientated, so really it's just a question of managing things in the right way." However, Lou is not the only thing Leona pines for when she is away from home.
She said: "I missed British TV and my family and friends obviously. I just love being home and being able to walk to the shops, because you can't walk anywhere there."
