The 25-year-old X-Factor winner is turning her back on ballads in favour of something more edgy, according to The Sun.
A source told the newspaper that music mogul Simon Cowell had a hand in the transformation.
'Simon Cowell's Syco team have asked songwriters to hand them dubstep and dance tracks with traditional lyrics for the X-Factor winner,' said the insider. 'And they've specifically stated no ballads. It's a big change for her.'
It is thought that record bosses wanted a change after her last album, Echo, sold less than third the amount of copies of her first album, Spirit.
