One Direction star Liam Payne paid six figures to become the owner of a flying car featured in 2002 film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
The 22-year-old pop singer is a huge fan of the Harry Potter franchise and he celebrated his birthday in August (15) by throwing a Hogwarts-themed party complete with a cake designed to resemble a book of spells.
Liam's commitment to the franchise has gone even further after the musician purchased the Weasley family's flying Ford Anglia, a fictional car that featured in Chamber of Secrets.
"I bought the Harry Potter car and I put it in my garden," Liam revealed during Nick Grimshaw's Radio 1 breakfast show. "You know the blue car, the flying car? I bought one because I'm a bit of a geek."
In addition to owning this magical motor vehicle, Liam is also an official member of lead character Harry Potter's school house Gryffindor.
The singer noted he became a Gryffindor house member via the Internet.
"I did the test on the website," Liam smiled. "My friend got Hufflepuff and I got Gryffindor. He was so annoyed."
Liam isn't the only One Direction member who is obsessed with all things Harry Potter - bandmate Niall Horan is also a huge fan, although he didn't hop on the Harry Potter bandwagon until well after the initial frenzy - having first been exposed to the exciting supernatural world via a live studio tour.
"Not gona (sic) lie, I'm obsessed with Harry potter now, I've watched 5 movies in 3 days since I've been to the studio tour!" Niall wrote on his Twitter account.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter offers visitors the opportunity to experience the magic of the Harry Potter films by going behind the scenes and seeing things through the filmmakers' eyes.
It seems both Liam and Niall will soon have plenty of time to enjoy their Harry Potter hobbies, as One Direction is going on hiatus for a year starting March 2016, their first break since catapulting to international fame in 2011.
