Lily Allen was reportedly axed by her manager.
The Smile singer started working with Scott Rodger last year. But after less than 12 months, the pair have gone their separate ways. While her rep says it was "mutual and amicable", insiders claim otherwise.
"He is one of the most in-demand managers in the world. He tried hard with Lily but her attitude was all wrong and her new music isn't up to scratch," a source told British newspaper The Sun. "After her last album was a massive flop she was banking on Scott turning things around. He made her a lot of money but she's spending like crazy and everyone wants her to slow down."
Lily had reportedly hoped to make a big musical comeback after her last album, Sheezus, failed to set the charts alight. But being let go by Scott is a huge blow to the 30-year-old and has given friends even more reason to be worried about her.
Lily has caused concern in recent months after passing out in a field at Glastonbury and reports of her marriage to Sam Cooper being in trouble are also doing the rounds.
"Lily's life is spiralling out of control. Everyone is incredibly worried but she just won't listen," the insider continued.
Another problem Lily's loved ones are said to be concerned about is her spending. She is reportedly shelling out thousands of pounds on designer labels on a regular basis.
"Her fashion budget alone is about £30,000 a month and that's not sustainable now that there's no music release or new tour on the cards for some time," the source added.
While a representative didn't comment on the marriage or money rumours, they did confirm the split between Lily and Scott.
"It's true that Lily has parted company with her managers Scott Rodger and Henry Village and the decision to split was both mutual and amicable," they said. "There is no comment regarding her private life."
