Overview
Mike Smith has been sacked from Limp Bizkit and former guitarist Wes Borland has definitely returned to the band.
In an interview with The Armpit, Fred Durst confirmed Smith's departure stating "We are very content with Mike being gone. We are the type of people that stay true to our family and our instincts and at any moment will act on intuition as a whole. Mike wasn't the guy. We had fun playing with him, but always knew, in the back of our minds, that he wasn't where we needed him to be mentally."
Smith joined Limp Bizkit after Durst conducted a failed 'Guitar Idol' trek across America auditioning unknowns for the job as Limp Bizkit guitarist. Borland departed in 2001.
Limp Bizkit have started work on their new album but will release a greatest hits album next month.
