Two classic venues are inducting a trio of veteran artists into their respective Halls of Fame.
In New York, the Apollo Theater is adding Lionel Richie and the late-Etta James to their Hall of Fame at a gala on June 4. A plaque will be installed for each of the singers under the theater's famed marquee.
Past inductees include Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Patti LaBelle, Michael Jackson and Smokey Robinson.
Over on the west coast, Reba McEntire will be inducted into the Hollywood Bowl's Hall of Fame on the venues opening night of June 22. The night will be hosted by Julie Andrews and McEntire will be performing.
The Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame was established in 2000 and has since inducted such greats as John Williams, Stevie Wonder, George Harrison, Roger Daltrey, Frank Sinatra, Carlos Santana and B.B. King.
