Lionel Richie will play the first in a new series of live shows on the HSN network with HSN LIVE Presents Lionel Richie. The show will air March 16 on HSN, HSN.com and on HSN Mobile.
Richie will be performing music from his new album Tuskegee on which he remakes many of his classics in duet form with some of Nashville's biggest and brightest, including Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts, Shania Twain, Willie Nelson and Jimmy Buffett. Kenny Rogers will appear on the program to perform their duet Lady, a song which Richie wrote and ended up being the biggest record of Rogers' career.
"HSN has become a launching pad for new releases from today's biggest artists," said Andy Sheldon, EVP of Television and Executive Creative Director for HSN. "Through special events like the HSN LIVE concert series, we offer our customers insider access to some of the world's greatest music legends and we are excited to have Lionel share his inspiration for Tuskegee and his iconic sound."
Those who buy the album through HSN will receive a special five-track bonus CD that features Richie performing a live version of his hit You Are from a show at London's Wembley Arena. Also included are the original versions of Say You, Say Me, My Love, Dancing on the Ceiling and Stuck on You.
