Summer's here and Nokia Skate Almighty is rolling back into town this August. With a huge free outdoor roller disco and host of musical talent including pop princess Little Boots, Calvin Harris and The Rakes. Whilst celebrating the UK's love of all things retro, Nokia Skate Almighty is a completely free event that is part of Nokia Comes with Music.
Hosted in a specially created rink, Nokia Skate Almighty will be taking over the nation's capital from Wednesday 5th to Sunday 9th August at Potter's Field, near London's iconic Tower Bridge. Each day of Skate Almighty will give thousands of skaters the chance to dance and skate to live performances and DJ sets from some of the world's leading names, including: Raygun, The Pipettes, Example and Queens of Noize.
The Nokia Skate Almighty rink is open to children and families during the day, encouraging even the youngest Brits to have fun and stay fit on skates. Then after 6.00pm each day, it will be for over 18s only to skate the evening away.
To get skating, individuals simply need to visit www.nokiamusic.co.uk to secure a free ticket for a one-hour skate time slot. Entrance to Nokia Skate Almighty will be via mobile ticket and requires a simple swipe of your mobile phone onsite.
To get everyone in the disco mood, when they sign up they will also receive a Nokia Music Store voucher and PIN code, which allows them to download free tracks from the Nokia Music store.
So, whether you fancy a free one-hour skate with your family or dance all evening with friends, Nokia Skate Almighty has it all this summer. Why not call your skate mates or invite a skate date and get your skates on down to the roller disco.
