Little Richard confessed two major regrets:
1: sacking Jimi Hendrix and
2: not signing up to make a fortune with The Beatles
The star told fans at a Outh By SouthWest lecture in Austin, Texas, he would have been a very rich man if he'd taken Hendrix and the Fab Four more seriously.
He explained, "When he (Hendrix) was with me, he didn't play that kind of guitar. He played Elmore James, Sonny Boy Williamson and the blues. My brother fired him without my permission."
And he recalled turning down the opportunity to agree to promote the Beatles' cover of Good Golly Miss Molly in America.
He added, "I didn't bring the tape (back). Now, I wish I did because they offered me 50 per cent of the royalties."
