One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson was reportedly banned from the delivery room by Briana Jungwirth's mother after a fiery row on Friday (21Jan16).
It's been claimed that the 24-year-old star, who became a first-time father to son Sydney Rain with his stylist ex-Briana, 23, spent most of the labour sat in his car after Briana's mum Tammi got angry. According to an insider Briana's protective mother wouldn't let Louis near her during the birth.
"Briana's mother Tammi went berserk at him in the hospital," the source told Britain's The Sun newspaper. "He spent a lot of the time she was in labour sat in his car because Tammi wouldn't let him near Briana."
"He's looked after her very well but Tammi feels it's not enough. They are trying to work out a custody deal."
Louis, who is currently thought to be dating Danielle Campbell, did eventually get to see his first-born and was quick to tell fans how overjoyed he is.
"I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday :) He is healthy and pretty amazing, I'm very happy!!" he tweeted.
It has not yet been revealed whether Sydney will have his father's surname.
The source adds there could be further problems as Briana's family have a "slightly exaggerated expectations' about how much the star should legally pay for child support".
Despite the alleged spat the singer is embracing his role as a dad, and took his new responsibilities in his stride as helped move his baby out of the LA hospital on Saturday (22Jan16), carrying what appeared to be part of a car seat.
It's also thought Louis is setting up home in LA to be near his new family, with the boy band hunk thought to have rented a $14 million, five-bed mansion for six months alongside a separate four-bed house for Briana.
