As we reported last week, "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale is going straight country on her first music album. Even more exciting, Hale is working with a hugely popular and Grammy Award-winning country act on her musical debut.
"We have a week off from ['Pretty Little Liars'] and I'm flying to Atlanta to write with Kristian Bush from Sugarland," Hale revealed to MTV News when we caught up with her recently. "They're the biggest country band out there and I don't even know how I got that. I don't even know! I got an email about it and it was obviously a no-brainer."
The obviously excited Hale went on to say that she hopes to be teaming up with a few of the brilliant producers behind Adele's hit record, as well as several music veterans who are stepping into the country music scene for the first time.
"I think I'm working with some people who have worked with Adele, which is really cool, although she's not country. It's sort of a lot of writers and producers who don't do a lot of country, so it's going to be a good mixture," she explained. "It's going to be interesting, in a good way!"
Speaking of a good mixture, we asked Hale if she'll be calling upon any of her "PLL" co-stars for their musical contributions, since we already know Tyler Blackburn can sing.
"I'm so down. I was actually hanging out with [Blackburn] last night and he plays guitar," she said. "I've never really heard him sing, but he's got a really good voice and Keegan [Allen]'s a good performer, but on this album probably not, but maybe in the future!"
