Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform their first two albums, in their entirety, at a Jacksonville, FL for release on home video.
Although they had been together under different names since 1966, it wasn't until 1973 that the band signed with MCA and released their debut album Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd. That album included some of their best remembered songs including the classic Free Bird, Gimme Three Steps, Simple Man and Tuesday's Gone.
They followed in 1974 with Second Helping which included the classic Sweet Home Alabama.
Johnny Van Zandt, singer for the group, said "We've been wanting to go back and recreate these live records for a long time. We decided to come back to our hometown, Jacksonville, and play at the legendary Florida Theatre. Can't wait to rock it."
The schedule for the shows has Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd being performed on February 12 and Second Helping on February 13. Both shows will also include other songs from throughout the band's career.
