Praise for 'Waxing Gibbous'
"A reflective, charming, bleak and funny album." BBC Music
"a miner of nuggets of beauty from the dark rock walls of despair" NME
"Waxing Gibbous is a good, if occasionally overdone, album that proves that his musical imagination is still a fertile one." Pitchfork
"The joyous C86-on-steroids jangle of Red Travellin' Socks and the cod-African backing vocals on Kiss at the Station are a better pointer to where his head is at, while the country hip-hop of Don't Want to Sleep Tonight recalls prime-Beta Band. A career high." Times Online
