The Manic Street Preachers are one of the latest incredible acts lined up to appear at this year's Rock Ness music festival in the Scottish Highlands. The Welsh Rockers will perform on the outdoor 'Xfm Stage' on Sunday 10 June.
In this very special Scottish festival exclusive, the band will perform tracks of their much-anticipated new album Send Away The Tigers, the first release since 2004's Lifeblood. This is the eighth album from one of Britain's best loved bands with the new album rumoured by Nicky Wire to sound like "The White Album played by Guns n Roses - pure melodies mixed with rock 'n' roll".
The Manic Street Preachers will join a stellar Rock Ness line-up which features some of the hottest names in dance, electronic and rock. These include headline acts The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk and Groove Armada.
Rock Ness is fast gaining critical acclaim for its inspired leftfield music policy, further endorsed over the weekend by a raft of special guests. These include The Automatic whose massive Fatboy Slim-remixed hit 'Monster was one of the highlights of Rock Ness 2006, The Feeling, Cuban Brothers, Radio Soulwax and Dub Pistols.
The festival which is being staged on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th of June, will take place once again on the banks of historic Loch Ness, outside the village of Dores, four miles south-west of Inverness. Organisers expect 35,000 music fans to attend each day with a dedicated campsite for 25,000.
Fans also have the opportunity to camp in style this year by staying in their own luxury beach hut, tipi or double decker bus hotel complete with its own Bedouin hospitality marquee!
The festival will be broadcast live and exclusive across radio partner Xfm's UK network to an audience of 1.6 million listeners.
Tickets are on sale now costing £45.00 per day or £85.00 for the weekend (subject to booking fee) and are available from www.ticketline.co.uk
