Manic Street Preachers seem to be following in the footsteps of Aerosmith aiming to recreate their late-eighties comeback albums 'Permanent Vacation' and 'Pump', says Nicky Wire.
The Manic's bassist told Xfm that the recording to the follow up to 'Send Away The Tigers' was progressing well and there was a "really exciting" feeling in the Manic Street Preachers camp.
"It's going to be an amazing album", he told us. "'Send Away The Tigers' was 'Permanent Vacation', this next one is our 'Pump'."
The band are currently finishing the album in a Cardiff studio with producer Dave Eringa, the producer behind 'Gold Against The Soul' and 'Send Away The Tigers'.
