Marc Almond will hand out a gong at this year's Brit Awards.
The former Soft Cell star nearly died in a motorbike crash in October 2004. He is now learning how to walk, talk and sing again as he recovers from massive head injuries reports The Sun.
A source said: "The Brits committee was thrilled when Marc agreed to come to the awards.
"He will get a fantastic reaction from the audience."
