Marc Almond has made a "remarkable" recovery from his motorcycle accident and has been moved to a private hospital.
The former Soft Cell singer was injured in the October 17 incident and needed emergency surgery after the motorbike he was riding collided with a car in London.
However, a statement on the singer's website marcalmond.co.uk reveals that the star has left east London's Royal London Hospital, saying: "His progress can only be described as remarkable, he attributes a lot of this to the thousands of messages of love and support he has received from fans, friends, the general public the world over as well as many other recording artists… Although he has some way to go to full recovery he is looking forward to getting back to work when he can."
Almond was sent flowers, cards and gifts in the hospital following the accident, and fans inundated his website with messages of goodwill.
The statement added: "We never imagined that after only three weeks we'd be sitting in a room drinking tea and laughing and joking with him just like before (you'll be pleased to hear his sense of humour hasn't suffered one bit)."document.write(unescape("
