Overview
Some students at Temple University in Philadelphia got an hour of Marilyn Manson Monday. That's because he was the teacher. Manson taught the Art and Society class as a guest lecturer. Manson sure didn't look like a professor.
He wore an all-black suit with chrome-tipped platform shoes, dark lipstick and bulbous sunglasses. Manson responded to students' questions about art, politics and religion. Sample lecture note: "I'm not someone who doesn't respect religion, but I don't care for the way religion is used to manipulate people." He also said, "We create our own gods. We create our own devils."
