The French actress and her partner Guillaume Canet welcomed their first child into the world last night in Paris. The tot is called Marcel and Marion and Guillaume are already enjoying being parents.
“Mother and baby are fine,” a source told People. “Marion is very happy.”
No further details about the birth have been released.
Marion, 35, and 38-year-old Guillaume have been together since 2007, and first met on the set of 2003 film Love Me If You Dare. The couple confirmed Marion was expecting in January, but have remained tight-lipped about the pregnancy since then.
News they were to become parents came shortly after rumours began to circulate that the pair were engaged. Marion was spotted wearing a ring on her ring finger, but it was claimed a wedding was in their immediate plans.
"They haven't disclosed any plans concerning marriage," a source confirmed at the time.
Marion can currently be seen in Woody Allen movie Midnight in Paris.
