The 36-year-old music star and DJ will reportedly be recording a new track with singer Katy B.
Ronson has been travelling around the world, sampling the grunts and noises made by five international athletes while they train for London 2012, according to UK newspaper The Guardian.
He was reportedly fascinated by British table-tennis champ Darius Night's unusual grunt, saying: 'Sometimes he uses it to put off his opponents, and sometimes it is a sound of victory – to me, it sounded like James Brown, so I knew I would use that.'
The tune, which will be unveiled in March ahead of the Olympics, will also be used in one of Coca-Cola's London 2012 adverts.
